Behind the Book
When I was given the opportunity to continue the Mitch Rapp series after Vince Flynn passed away, I accepted with a mix of sadness and excitement.
For the few of you who haven’t read these books, Mitch is one of the most iconic and compelling thriller characters ever created. Vince had tens of millions of fans all over the globe and I’ve been one of them since the beginning.
My goal with The Survivor was to stick very closely to Vince’s style and to try to capture Mitch exactly as he did. I’m lucky that The Last Man included a lot of clues as to where Mitch’s story would go next. The job was to create a book that even lifelong fans would have a hard time differentiating from the rest of the series. Not an easy task, but so far everyone who’s read it thinks I pulled it off. I hope you do too!
